Ballarat Aquatic Centre
- new amenities area open
Visitors to the Ballarat Aquatic Centre can now make the most of its new
amenities area, which includes two new group change areas, an additional
universal access toilet and change spaces.
The area also includes a new staff room for Ballarat Aquatic Centre
The amenities area was constructed as part of the first stage of development
works that will see the Ballarat Aquatic Centre improve and expand as a

800 children are enrolled in learn-to-swim programs.
Next, the café and seating area will be extended and the layout in the
entrance and customer service area will be improved.
Construction is well underway on two new pools and spa. Structural steelwork
for the new pool envelope and new roof for the area is now complete.
All areas of the facility will remain open during the next stage of work,
although there will be a number of minor changes in the way patrons access
the centre during construction times.
The $4.5 million upgrade to the Ballarat Aquatic Centre is expected to be
completed by October 2010.

Ambassadors and the
opportunity to actively help
the City of Ballarat implement
its Cultural Diversity Strategy.
She is also assisting Council
with the Global Skills for
Regional Victoria program
and is participating in the
Leadership Ballarat and
Western Region Program.
Karin said it had been a
privilege to be involved
in a number of cultural
diversity activities in the
Cultural Diversity Week,
Chinese New Year
and Persian New Year
