A kaleidoscope of colour, sounds, sights, flavours
and fun will transform Ballarat on Sunday 24 March
when the 2013 Harmony Fest celebration unfolds
in Ballarat's CBD.
A vibrant five-hour live concert, international food,
workshops, demonstrations, children's and youth
activities, and markets will excite local crowds of
Now in its third year, Harmony Fest promotes the
theme of 'All of Us', bringing the entire community
together to celebrate Ballarat's wonderful diversity.
Harmony Fest 2013 is on Sunday 24 March from
12 noon to 5pm in Alfred Deakin Place, Camp Street.

At Harmony Fest 2013, a diverse line up of
performers will bring rhythms, vocals and harmonies
from Bollywood to Brazil and beyond including:
Archie Roach and Shane Howard
Two of Australia's most respected and treasured
singer songwriters will perform at Harmony Fest.
Indigenous song-man Archie Roach and Shane
Howard, former front man of 1980's band Goanna,
have shared their songs and spirit with audiences
around Australia and overseas for two decades.
Brett de Hoedt
Renowned reporter and radio broadcaster Brett de
Hoedt will Mc Harmony Fest 2013.
Massive Hip Hop Choir
Returning to Harmony Fest due to popular demand,
the Massive Hip Hop Choir blends old skool hip hop,
traditional choral harmonies and body percussion to
create a genre of hip hop powered by diversity.
Experience the vibrant costumes, driving rhythms
and exhilarating dance moves of West Africa with
King Marong and Safara, an acoustic, percussion-
based representation of traditional songs and
dances performed for local Senegambian
Capoeira Filhos da Bahia
Enjoy an exciting display of authentic Brazilian
dance. Watch the amazing Capoeiristas as they fly
through the air with somersaults and spins.
Angels Voices Band
Featuring a spirited group of young people from
different cultures and ethnic groups, the Angels
Voices Band sing and dance to promote spiritual
and cultural values.
Australian Irish Dance Company
The Australian Irish Dance Company provides
quality performances as celebrated in the
internationally successful shows 'Riverdance' and
'Lord of the Dance'.
Om Bollywood Music Group
Based in Melbourne, this group has performed
across Australia. Popular singer Amitabh Singh has
played a key role in the group's success.
Infectious rhythm, worldly lyrics and impassioned
musicianship are just the beginning for any Sol
St Alipius and Emmaus Primary Schools Choir
Around 60 students will perform "The Sun Shines
on Everyone," a creative collaboration between the
two schools led by Stella Savvy and the Ballarat
Children's entertainer Earl's highly interactive show
encourage a love of words and music.

Choose from a range of international food choices
including Spanish Gourmet Caterers, The Forge
Pizzeria (Italian), Sushi Noodle (Japanese), Taste

Celebrate Harmony Fest
Week in Ballarat
Celebrate Cultural Diversity Week, 16 to
24 March, 2013, with these other great
local activities and events.
The Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council
will host a Multicultural Expo from the
Mining Exchange on Saturday 23 March,
10am to 9pm, and Sunday
24 March, 10am to 5pm. The expo
will feature exciting cultural displays,
workshops, performances, cooking
demonstrations, exhibitions and food.
