The Ballarat Begonia Festival is set to bloom
again in 2013 with FREE entertainment, children's
activities and horticultural offerings for the entire
family over the Labour Day long weekend.
Now in its 61st year, the Festival has a renewed
focus on horticulture with celebrity gardener Costa
Georgiadis (Gardening Australia) to headline the
The Ballarat Begonia Festival is on from Saturday
to Monday, 9 to 11 March at the Ballarat Botanical
Gardens and Lake Wendouree foreshore, from
10am to 5pm daily.

With a changing line-up of local and national acts
each day, visit the Main Stage where people of all
ages will be tapping their feet with tribute shows

and Gretel show and singing workshop.
For the first time in regional Victoria -- Optus Flicks
in the Stix will be held in Ballarat as part of the
Begonia Festival on Saturday,
9 March at 6.30pm on the foreshore of
Lake Wendouree. Featuring an
international short film festival, live music
from The Whitlams, and larrikin bush
poet Murray Hartin, the event is not to be
